The Heart of Horse Power Healing Center

Volunteers are the backbone of Horse Power Healing Center, playing crucial roles in our mission to heal, hope, and grow. From leading horses to supporting participants as side-walkers, our volunteers are integral to every aspect of our programs. Whether serving on our board or assisting in daily operations, their dedication ensures the success of our equine-assisted activities. We welcome individuals from all walks of life, with or without horse experience, to join our supportive community where training and education are provided to enhance your volunteer journey.

Volunteer Opportunities

Horse Leader

Lead horses in therapeutic riding lessons. Ability to groom, tack, and lead an equine at walk/trot is required.

Side-Walker

Support and encourage participants, walking alongside them to provide stability and confidence. No horse experience required; we will train you.

Barn Assistant

Help staff with daily chores including walking horses to/from pastures, filling waters, feeding, cleaning stalls, etc. No horse experience required; we will train you.

Facilities Maintinence

Volunteers are needed for maintaining the farm in such areas as: flower beds, weed eating, fencing, pasture maintenance and unloading hay.

Event Volunteer

We always need volunteers to help us run our Events such as: Open House, Benefit Horse Show, Chili Cook-off and other fundraising events.

Committee Member

Contribute your skills in planning and executing events, fundraising, and community outreach initiatives.
